Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas is the biggest annual technology show in the world, where >3000 Tech companies demonstrate their new products and technologies they plan to release throughout the year to the 200,000 attendees. As in the past, CES 2018 has also been the platform for various cutting-edge technologies by some of the best companies, and some of the major products are discussed below. Which products are the most interesting? Here’s our choices below. What do you think?
1. The Wall
Who needs a wall when you have a TV? Samsung has introduced a new TV television called “The Wall”, which has an incredible 146-inch (370cm or 1.2m) diagonal screen and 4K screen resolution. Its interest is that it is made by modular diode technology (MicroLED) that emit light separately and do not require any backlighting or colour filters. MicroLED technology offers a long display life, lower power consumption & high image quality.
2. Lenovo Mirage Solo (not Han Solo)
Lenovo has introduced a new headset that offers one of the easiest ways to get know the VR’s (virtual reality)world. This device uses a Google Daydream software and – thanks to the LCD display – it offers impressive resolutions and good contrast.
3. Vuze+ 3D 360 VR Camera
How would you like to live-stream from your point of view? New camera Vuze+ can capture 4K Virtual Reality in real time. Then your family or friends could put on their VR headset and see what you see.
4. The Samsung Flip
… is a smart “whiteboard” that’s really a digital display. You can draw on the Flip like a regular whiteboard, but it is also capable of screen-sharing with other devices via Near-Field Communication (NFC) and it features tons of cool touch controls.
5. Vivo Fingerprint Sensor
Fingerprint scanning on smartphones is nothing new, but Vivo’s proprietary sensor makes it differently. It is not the final device, but rather the concept of how fingerprints could look in the future. It should be integrated directly into the display and when it is active, only the pixels at the bottom will illuminate (where the sensor is located).
6. SmaCircle S1
For many people, the biggest obstacle to riding a bicycle is storing a bicycle. And therefore company SmaCircle solved this problem. It has introduced a new electric bike that folds up in 5 steps to fit in your backpack.
7. Cloudious 9 Hydrology 9
Portable Vaporizers became a big hit in the last year. Instead of going smaller, startup Cloudious 9 went bigger. It has introduced new and awesome vaporizers Hydrology 9 that combine vaporization with a water pipe design.
8. Aibo Robot Dog
Remember Aibo from Sony? This robotic dog has actually been around since 1999, but Sony stopped production in 2005 and now… it is back! The new Aibo has got hundreds of different movements & animations.
9. The PowerDoplhin
There are drones in the air, on the ground. – and now – drones in the water. New technology called “The PowerDolphin” is capable of capturing 4K videos and photos underwater, and using sonar to create topo-graphical maps of he ocean floor.
10. Merge 6DoF Blaster
