#1. 10X Rule (Grant Cardone)
Grant is fantastic at breaking down the concept of Goal Setting and how to apply them to become more successful. Not only that, but where people go wrong with their Goals. You’ll never forget just how important Goals are after reading this book. Check it out! BTW: if you really want some great content check out Grant’s YouTube channel.
#2 The Art of Start (Guy Kawasaki)
Guy’s book can help you start a new company, a new product, new services or anything new which is related to the business. From raising money to hiring the right people, from defining your positioning to creating a brand, from creating “buzz” to buzzing the competition, from managing a board to fostering a community this book will guide you everywhere you want to go.
#3. The Big Nine (the future of AI) Amy Webb
How will artificial intelligence develop & impact our lives? The truth is no one knows, including futurist Amy. But in this book she, “lays out scenarios for optimistic, pragmatic, & catastrophic outcomes — all extrapolated from current facts,”
#4. Building a Storied Brand (Donald Miller)
The message of this book is fantastic. It focuses on the key steps required to build a Brand that will last. Miller is great at realizing what captures a Customer’s attention and how to hold it the longest.
#5 Business at Speed of Thought (Bill Gates)
Bill discusses how technology can help in running a business in a better way. He stresses that management should view technology as a strategic asset and not as overhead.
#6 The Closer’s Survival Guide (Grant Cardone)
Get ready to start understanding the Closing of a Sale with this book. Cardone is great at bestowing his knowledge about this which is a totally different than the rest of the sale. If you’re looking to find out literally 100 different ways to overcome objections, this is your book..
#7 The Dichotomy of Leadership (Leif Babin & Jocko Willink)
This book is an excellent follow up to Extreme Ownership. I enjoyed this because Jocko and Babin do a great job explaining how you can be too extreme with Ownership of your Business. They help you balance + problem solve – even the most difficult scenarios. They’re fantastic at telling stories by incorporating experiences from Navy Seals combat & training.
#8 Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future (Ashlee Vance)
If you’re an Elon admirer this book is the one for you! You’ll learn a lot about him, his leadership style, crazy lifestyle, + even some of his life’s history. I’m a bigger fan of Elon from this book though.
#9 If you’re not First, You’re Last (Grant Cardone)
Cardone shows his mastery of the sales profession with this one. He gives you an in-depth understanding of business to help dominate in today’s up economy and out-compete in a down economy. His goal is to help make you consistent. Information in this book seems most practical.
#10 Getting Things Done – The Art of “stress-free” Productivity (David Allen)
This is also a time management or productivity improvement book. It will teach you to keep every task small – so that it can be done in a short amount of time. It is one of the fastest way to achieve the goal.
#11 Why Leaders Eat Last (Simon Sinek)
This is the follow up to Start With Why and it’s amazing. He breaks down different leadership concepts that are biologically proven to work. Yes… biologically. I love how his message is similar between his videos & books.
#12 The Lean Startup (Eric Ries)
“How constant innovation creates a radically successful business” Eric provides a scientific approach to creating & managing a successful startup business.
#13 The Science of Like-ability (Patrick King)
Anyone in a leadership role could benefit greatly from this book. King explains many different concepts to help one become more likable, in the form of psychology.
#14. Loonshots by Safi Bahcall
“How ideas change the world”. This book has everything: new ideas, bold insights, entertaining history, & convincing analysis. Not to be missed by anyone who wants to understand the relationship between innovation and it’s Target Market.
#15 Measure what Matters (John Doerr)
Doerr is excellent at explaining what lead companies like Google, Microsoft, Facebook, etc. do to find better results. If you’re interested in leadership, entrepreneurship, or own a company you have check this book out. It’ll help you figure out if what you’re measuring even matters or if it’s busy work.
#16 Never Split the Difference: Negotiating as if your life Depended on it (Chris Voss)
If you’re looking to increase your Negotiating skills, this is your book. Voss is a former FBI Negotiator and it’s amazing what those guys have to endure. Check out this book if you want to learn how simple it is to be a master Negotiator.
#17 Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion (Robert Cialdini)
This book is about the Psychological Concepts that lead humans to make decisions. Cialdini is great at helping you understand them. If you sell to customer or persuade, it’s imperative to know what people think and this book will help you with that.
#18 Be Obsessed or Be Average (Grant Cardone)
Cardone does it again with this book. He’s a great story teller. This book is about the word Obsession -that typically has a negative connotation, but can be a wonderful word if applied right. Be obsessed towards your future, goals, & success.
#19 The One Thing (Gary Keller)
This is basically about how to make your life easier and how multi-tasking is a false concept. The stats in this book are mind boggling. It’s the perfect storm that will keep you hooked while reading. The information in this book is worth its weight in gold. Check this book out for sure!
#20 The Secrets of Closing the Sale (Zig Ziglar)
Zig Ziglar is one of top Selling gurus. If you haven’t checked out any of his content this book is a great one to start with (Audio book recommended). He goes through many scenarios to help you develop skills to overcome any Sales struggles. You’ll get a ton of motivation from this book as well, because his solutions are simplified.
#21 Sell or Be Sold (Grant Cardone)
This book was so great I had to read it twice. If you “sell” to Customers, Clients, Yourself, Investors or etc, this book is a must. Cardone breaks down why every person in this world is in Sales, whether they know it or not. Hone your Sales Skills faster by reading this book.
#22 The Thank You Economy (Gary Vaynerchuk)
Gary is a Guru with understanding the Market and what Customers want. You’ll learn various ways to create more Customer Engagement and understand them in today’s day & age. Get ready to get motivated with this book.
#23 The Power of Vulnerability (Brene Brown)
Brown is an expert in vulnerability and explains how to be more vulnerable and the payoff that it can have for you. It’s great considering a world that more socially impaired than ever. I think the concepts in this book are extremely relevant.
#24 Start with Why (Simon Sinek)
This book analyzes what causes certain companies, leaders, and people to have massive success. Simon breaks down things to a so it’s easier to understand. Not only that but his ideas are extremely innovative. Check out his videos on YouTube too.
#25 The Virgin Way (Richard Branson)
Sir RB is the man. I love his leadership style and think the world would be a better place if more people lead like him. He tells you various experiences that taught him many valuable lessons on leadership & entrepreneurship.
#26 Zero To One (Peter Thiel)
By VC and Paypal co-founder, this book is about notes on startup or how to build your future. It’s recommended reading for startups, entrepreneurs & innovators.
Conclusion: Anyway, I hope these recommendations are helpful for those searching for that next Read or Audio-book to listen to. There are so many options out there, that it’s helpful to know what’s worth the money and what’s not.
