One of the main challenges for digital & other Entrepreneurs is to stay on top of the latest developing technology.
A. How to START your WEBSITE: Rainmaker, BlueHost, ConvertKit. B. Expertly MANAGE your Projects: Trello, Google Docs, Insana (no) Assana. C. INCREASE your PRODUCTIVITY: Sloth, Momentum, Spotify, 7 minute Workkout.
Responsibility of a Founder. You have to respond to Emails, make sure your Website is working perfectly, organize projects, keep in touch with peers, and avoid getting distracted by Social Media. Use these Apps for Business to do all that and more.
The Internet does not just enable pro-crastination, though. It also offers solutions to busy people. There is an abundance of Apps & services that were created to help you organize your life and business, so you can focus on what matters. These Apps were created by people who know what it’s like to have a To-Do list – that is more like a roll of toilet paper. Many of these Apps can be used for free, so there’s no reason not to give them a try. I don’t know how I survived before using these Apps. They make it so much easier for me to do what I love, and I’m sure they’ll do the same for you!
A. How to Start your Website
Rainmaker is what Hack the Entrepreneur calls home. It is a complete Website solution for building your online Marketing platform. Rainmaker is super fast & secure, with a result-oriented interface & simple development Apps. Its platform is the basis of all Hack the Entrepreneur’s traffic, conversion, & results. Try Rainmaker free for 14-days (no credit card necessary)
BlueHost. If you need a small site put up fast, BlueHost & WordPress are the solution. They provide awesome, helpful support. The easy-to-use, 1-click WordPress install will get your first site up in minutes. I strongly recommend using this service. It’s just $3.95/month to get started.
ConvertKit: Email marketing is the most profitable driver of any digital business. Choose wisely. I choose it because I have not found a better Email provider. With ConvertKit, I easily set up free Email courses, Tag & Sort subscribers. I also added Opt-in boxes to my sites, and sent my Emails to thousands of people.
B. Expertly Manage your Projects
Trello is a “free” Project Management tool that helps you get organized. It shows a board on which you can create lists filled with cards. When you open a card, you can add comments, upload files, create checklists, & more. It is super versatile, so it can be used for many different types of things: to organize a specific project, write an Ebook, create an Email course, etc. I regularly use Trello for my Project outlines & To-Do lists.
Google Docs. I’m sure you know this one, but it’s too good not to be mentioned. It is an essential “free” tool for working on a file with multiple people. Everyone can add or remove text, proof-read content, & give comments for others to see. You can also see who else is working on the document and chat with them, so it’s a great tool for teams. It’s also a big help for people who get confused when they have several versions of a work-in-progress.
Asana is the ultimate “free” App for managing your projects more effectively. It works with tasks, projects, conversations, & dashboards. Teamwork has never been easier. You can turn conversations into Action-able tasks, provide comments on other people’s actions, and immediately see what progress has been made – all without having to schedule meetings. The best part of all? Your inbox only shows updates that are relevant to you, so you don’t get inundated with useless information.
C. Increase your Productivity
Slack. This beautiful “free” Chat app is an amazing communication tool for Teams and Master-mind groups. Its smooth design is by far the nicest you’ll come across. Even though it’s relatively new, it is already very popular. You can create several channels to discuss different topics, or you can have a private conversation. Slack also allows you to share files and to easily find messages, notifications & files in your archive. Everything is automatically synced on all your devices, and you can easily connect it to other apps, like WordPress or Skype. Start sharing your ideas with peers and get inspired by their questions, suggestions, & expertise. You’re all in this together.
Momentum, is a “free” Home page replacement that inspires you and keeps you focused throughout your work day. When you open your browser, Momentum greets you by name with an inspiring picture & quote. I find it immensely helpful when determining & completing my Priorities every day. Every morning, I tell it what my focus for the day will be. For the rest of the day, it reminds me of my commitment every time I open a new tab. This makes it much easier to stop wasting time on irrelevant tasks. It’s the perfect way to break the temptation of pro-crastination!
Spotify. Listening to music really for “free”, helps most people stay more energized and more productive. Obviously, this is different for everyone, but many people seem to function better with music in the background. Spotify is a great place to find the right music for every moment. You can choose what you want to listen to, or you can let this Swedish App surprise you. Find out what type of music does the trick. “It’s great to help you through the early afternoon slump” said Trump [LoL] Sorry, I couldn’t resist throwing it in.
7-Minute Workout. This “free” App helps me stay fit and focused with short workouts. Each workout consists of 12 exercises of 30 seconds, with 10-second breaks. All you need is a chair and a wall, so this is the perfect workout app in your home office. If you’re trying to find re-energization & inspiration, doing a short workout can really help you get there. We often have the best insights while doing something entirely different (ie, taking a shower or nap). A short workout will get both the adrenaline and the ideas flowing!
Comments: the Balance of Apps is in Part II.
