Steve Jobs continued. Within just 4 years; the Apple Computer Company being founded Apple became a publicly traded corporation. In 1983, Jobs managed to lure John Scully away from the Pepsi-Cola company with the quote: “Do you want to sell sugar water the rest of your life or change the world? In 1984 Jobs had – arguably – the greatest commercial ever during the Super Bowl and introduced the Macintosh a couple of weeks later. For Jobs, it wasn’t all smooth sailing; in May 1985, following an internal power struggle between the board of directors; he lost control of Apple computer and was forced out.
Jobs then went on to form another company NeXT computers which did amazingly well as a Work Station. Ten years later Apple computers decided to buy the NeXT company for $430 M, bringing Steve jobs back to Apple as the company’s interim CEO, but we’re getting ahead of our timeline.
In 1986, he bought “The Graphics Group” for $10M – which was later named Pixar Animation. In 2000 Apple announced publicly that Steve jobs was to become the permanent CEO of the company. In 07 Apple changed its name to Apple Inc.
Innovative Products, were soon being produced: iPod (music player) 01, iTunes (online music store) 03, iPhone (schmardt) 07, iPad (tablet) 10. From humble beginnings in 01, there are now about 300 Apple Stores around the world. In January 2006 Jobs announced the Disney had purchased Pixar in an-all stock transaction;worth approximately $7.4B, so as you can see Steve Jobs has done pretty well for himself. However, in Oct 11, Jobs lost his battle with Pancreatic Cancer. The would mourned this Visionary !!!

College. In 1973 after completing HS with a 1600 (top score) in his SAT’s, he enrolled at Harvard. While studying there Bill made a new friend in Steve Ballmer, and they have continued to be friends to this day. After spending much of his study time at the helm of the University’s computer systems Bill decided to leave Harvard, in order to start his own business. This was due to the launch of the Altair 8800 which used Intel’s new cpu 8080 which had gotten Bill excited by the prospects of what he could do with the technology – write an operating system.
